The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC's Empty Bowls luncheon will take place on April 22th from 11-2pm at The Millennium Center. A tasty soup lunch, gorgeous handcrafted andf painted pottery bowls and a fabulous silent auction will be available at the luncheon. The proceeds will go to special meal programs for children and critical nutritional supportfor our neighbors in need. The Northern Guilford High School Yearbook staff invites you to the 1st Annual Charity Color Run on Saturday, May 2nd, at NGHS. Registration begins at 8am and runners start at 9:30am. Registration is $35 until April 22nd, $45 until May 1st, and $50 day of. All runners get to choose the charity they'd like their proceeds to go to, and everyone gets a commemorative t-shirt. May 2nd: Make a Wish Kentucky Derby Classic

May 2nd: CVMA Veterans Benefit Ride
The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association will hold its annual benefit ride on Saturday, May 2nd. Registration begins at 10am at Crossroads Harley Davidson of N. Wilkesboro. The ride will begin at 12 noon, and proceed to River City Bar & Grill at Lake Norman. A silent and live auction will be held, as well as a 50/50 raffle, and live music from National Recording Artist Rockie Lynne. All proceeds go to help veterans in need. The North Carolina Quarter Horse Association will have its No Bling Circuit held at the Piedmont Saddle Club at 801 Leaviurne Road in Colfax, NC. There will be two clinics, one at 8:45am and the other at 9:45am.This event is a sanctioned show that is designed for youth and amateur competitors prepare for participation at the larger AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association) Shows. YWCA Girls Inc Summer Camp
The Girls Inc. Summer Camp of Winston-Salem is back and better than ever! The camp will run weekly starting Monday, June 15; ending Friday, August 21 from 7am-6pm. The campers will arrive at the Gateway YWCA and be bused to and from the Children’s Home on Reynolda Rd where they have a fun-filled, inspirational day of spectacular activities. Camp themes include: Girl Power, Girl Tech, and Girl Fabulous, just to name a few. The cost per week is $175 for members/ $200 for potential members. Weekly fee includes girl power pack, breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and mid-afternoon snack. Scholarships may be available upon request. Camps are available to girls ages 7-12! North Carolina law requires that all domestic pets (cats, dogs and ferrets), whether living inside or outside, age four months or older be vaccinated.
