SciWorks will host overnight camp-ins for Cub Scouts on February 28, March 7, and March 14, 2014. During the camp-in, Scouts will enjoy the museum’s interactive exhibits, see a planetarium show, and watch an exciting and educational live animal program as they fulfill requirements for the Wildlife Conservation pin. Scouts may attend as a pack or as individuals with a parent or adult chaperone. The camp-in costs $40 per scout. Parent/adult chaperones are $15, and pack leaders are free. March 8th: Purses With A Purpose
Cancer Chic along with the Women's Circle of PRCC are holding a very special fundraising event "Purses With a Purpose", on Saturday, March 8, at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church, 2049 Pleasant Ridge Road in Greensboro. They will have over 250 gently used purses, 25 wallets, 30 tote bags, and many other items for sale. Name brands include Vera Bradley, Dooney & Burke, and Coach. Cancer Chic depends on sponsors to enable them to make care packages for Cancer patients and their families. Please come and help support this wonderful non profit organization as they support our community in such a sensitive time of need.

The Gibsonville Elementary 5th grade class invites you to participate in a golf tournament on Saturday, March 15th, to raise money for their overnight trip to the Outer Banks!
Cost: $60.00 Per Player
Fees Includes: 18 holes, cart, 2 mulligans and lunch.

Winston Salem Citizen's Police Academy
The Winston Salem Police Department is accepting applications for the spring session of
the Citizens' Police Academy, which will start April 3. The Citizens'
Police Academy is a 13-week program that meets once a week to better
acquaint citizens with the law enforcement profession and the role of the
Police Department within the community.
The weekly sessions are intended to help create a citizenry that is
familiar and comfortable with the Police Department. The classes are not
designed to train participants to be police officers. Classes will be held
from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday evenings at the Public Safety Center or the
